Currently at work right now...
one of the few that braved it this morning.
At approximately 6:30 am
I decided to go start my car and attempt to scrape the snow off of it.
Little did I know, my car was buried in snow.
I would say roughly 4 feet of snow surrounding my car. Due to snow drifts and the snow plows.
Unfortunatly for me I don't own a snow shovel (seriously how often do we get 20inches of snow fall in one day?)
So here I am with my pants tucked into my boots(heels of course) curlers in my hair and cotton gloves on my hands shoveling snow out from behind my car with a ..... Small plastic bathroom GARBAGE CAN!!!
So after 1 hour and 30 minutes of attempting to shovel my way out (with the garbage can) I manage to get out of my PARKING SPOT.
The next adventure was getting out of the parking LOT. I got stuck TWICE!!!!
Finally I managed to get out of the lot, after that the roads were gross and slick but there wasn't a foot of snow on the ground anymore so driving was nice. UNTIL I got on the road that work is on.
Nope they sure didn't clean it.
I was pulling into the parking lot and Lamar (the flamboyantly gay black man in his mid 20's) was standing there with his OVEN MITS trying to shovel snow.
I managed to get stuck right before i got in the parking lot. lamar came running back flailing his oven mits, and dug me out with his trusty little snow shovel.
Very interesting morning. I was supposed to be at work at 7. I finally managed to get in at 9.
Now I'm stuck here because my relief is in a county that has put into place a level 3 emergency. But since I was 2 hours late it is A okay.
