See, I kinda think they need to be apart for a while. I think this stuff would just continuously go around in circles for them if they were always together, and this way, they can get a little time to heal themselves, instead of being together, lying, opening more wounds, etc.
I love the amulet thing. Of course, the whole being a god-detector thing seemed a little 'oh, that's convenient', which I have found a lot in the last two episodes, but Dean's attachment to it was adorable. Maybe I'm just too cynical?
Rebel!Cas was awesome. Also, the line 'No, he's not on flatbread.' WAS PERFECTLY DELIVERED. Oh Misha.
I could see the whole boardwalk thing. Or maybe he went to Disneyland. 'Apocalypse? Fuck that shit, I'm going to Disneyland.' XD
LOVED the Four Horsemen introduction. It was really well played, I was riveted. Aha, and of course they have the classic cars, man. It wouldn't be Supernatural without them. I'm wondering about the ring too. I figured they might give it to Cas (well, Dean give it to Cas and then, you know.... XD) but we'll see. Perhaps they'll have to collect them all (having Pokemon flashbacks here) and use them to bind Lucifer later, or something. That'd be interesting. Also, loving the LotR references. I am a LotR fangirl at heart.
Sammy needs someone to stabilise him a bit, I think. Not a chick or whatever, but a solid support, just so he can let go a bit and relax and just deal with everything.
I just feel that if they separate now things will never get fixed and Sammy is likely to just spiral out of control. He's so on the edge right now that I think he needs Dean there with him even though their having real trust issues right now.
I'm not crazy about the amulet God detector thing either. I loved Dean's reluctance to hand it over though and his need to tell Castiel not to lose it.
OMG I know. I think that line is probably my favorite of all time. The small pause as he thought about it for a second was brilliant and was perfect.
I have to admit I didn't even think about the other horsemen also having rings *facepalm* It's like its going to turn into a sort of collectors game or something.
