The Painter : Poem

Summary: Taemin is a painter whose lover died in war, he attempts to bring his love back to life by using his artistic skills.
Long, long ago, there was a young painter by the name of Taemin,
He fell deeply in love with another man named Minho.
Sadly, his lover had to leave, for he had a war to partake in.
Day by day, he waited patiently, hoping to see him again but no...
He never came, never showed and his heart sank with fear each passing hour,
When news came home that his lover died in battle, he became devastated.
He thought he lost his reason to live and his soul was devoured with a dark power,
Little did he know that if he used black magic, his future would be ill-fated.
He wanted his lover to come back to life, to come back to him
And now, he had to ability to make his one wish come true.
As he stroke his black inked brush, perfecting his lover’s features and every limb,
Onto the old, sand-dust colored paper, his portrait slowly grew…
His ‘copied’ lover colored itself, stepping outside of its two-dimensional world,
It became human-like, it lived, but the creator felt like something was missing.
It was hollowed inside, no emotion lived within it and it made his head swirled,
What did he do wrong? He wanted to see the warmth in his lover’s eyes when kissing.
But this thing had nothing but an emotionless stare nor did it speak,
The young painter touched his creation; he didn’t feel anything but pure coldness.
He realizes then that this thing was no good, it wasn’t the one he seek,
Not soon after, he splashed water onto his work, making it disappear into emptiness.
Over and over again, he drew and drew, attempting to bring forth his lover,
But all his efforts failed countless of times, and over and over he had to erase…
Each day, all he did was waste paper and ink, one portrait after another
He encouraged himself to keep going so that soon he’ll be in his lover’s embrace.
Then one day, an idea crept into his mind,
If he drew himself with his lover, they could finally be together.
But his selfishness and love has made him blind,
He has been abusing his powers, using it whenever.
When he begun to paint himself with his lover, he got sucked into his own painting
In the end, he was trapped in there, forever drawing his love who will never come back.
A/N: I tried to rhyme every other line .________." Soooo, I hope I did okay, lol but I like the plot overall!
