Well, I hope that's because you're all LOOKING OUT OF YOUR WINDOWS! OMG THE EARTH IS A RED SHADOW ON THE MOOOOOOON! If you stood up tall enough in the right place on ( Read more... )

It's only BURNT OCHRE. Everyone's LEAST FAVOURITE watercolour shade. The most unsharpened crayon of them all. Also I'm a bit cross because there's a streetlight in the way. It actually is quite interesting to see the moon being a colour I've never seen it been before, but really I was more expecting it to glow, and possible to throb.

WHATHO THERE IS A THIN LINE OF WHITE NOW IT IS COMING OUT IT IS CURVED LIKE A SABRE I LOVE IT OH DUDE THE MOON IS COMING BACK OUT AGAIN OH IT IS SO BRIGHT! I am sorry about the streetlight. I have one too. Several. I'm covering it over with my hand and looking up and trying to think pure thoughts. OH IT IS EXCITING. How were you expecting it to glow if it's being covered with dark? I am sorry about it not throbbing though.

Mostly, and this is primarily because I didn't listen properly in year nine, I don't understand how this is different to a new moon and why new moons don't glow red normally and I DON'T UNDERSTAND. Also moons don't normally go through all their phases in two hours, which is mostly very fun of it. Actually I do get it if I think about it. It'll be to do with which bit of the earth the moon's hovering over. The monthly thing. And this is just something else entirely. Yes.

I expected it to glow because a man on the BBC said it was like Mars, only more exciting. I assumed that meant glowing. The sabre is great though. It made me laugh. I like when I can see the edge of the planet's shadow on the moon. Because actually that's so deranged. The thing I live on is casting a shadow on another thing in space. OH MY.

Oh, now I think about it I don't really understand all that stuff either. Not properly. Never mind, wikipedia will help me.

EXACTLY IT IS QUITE DERANGED. Like, WHAT dude WHAT? Also, you can tell it is MOVING. ALL THE THINGS ARE MOVING. And the fact that there is nothing else between us and it and it is a long way away and in between is just PLANET-SIZED SPACE OH OH OH WE ARE SO LUCKY. You know, not to live in a universe where the sky is flat, or anything. OH OH OH.
