Oh noes! A wolf has wolfed down the moon! But if we make lots of noise the wolf'll be scared off and we'll have the moon back.

RED CHEEEESE!

(I watched as the Earth eclipsed the moon from the sun earlier.)

Wait, is that the wrong terminology? A lunar eclipse is when the moon goes in front of the sun, actually, isn't it? OH I AM A PLEB. What is the correct term for the Earth eclipsing the moon? Is it a... Terran eclipse? Hot earth-on-moon action? WHAT?

OH PHEW. *clings to you a bit* You are terribly clever. ♥

*looks at tags* I think perhaps I should sort my tags out a bit. They're slightly confusing now.

Your terminology was perfectly correct *nods*; sun blotted out, solar, moon blotted out (effectively), lunar.

Tonight's was a lunar eclipse which is the Earth moving between the sun, which is the source of light, and the moon, which receives and reflects the sun's light i.e. shines.

A solar eclipse is when the moon moves between the sun, source of light, and the Earth, receiving light i.e. it all goes a bit dim.

Hot sun on Earth action occurs when the sun ejaculates long columns of super-heated sun-ejaculate towards the Earth and sometimes the solar ejaculate interferes with the Earth's atmosphere enough to interfere with radio/tv reception.

You know, solar flares are pretty sexy when you put them like that. Is there, like, fic somewhere?
