I was thinking we're probably not on the right bit. We should have done maths to work out which people would be on the right bit, and then told them what to do. Or we could've made Patrick Moore do it. Maybe if we went to the top of the mountains and THEN jumped. It seems so wrong that just waving doesn't work. Maybe it's working but we just can't see ourselves becaue we don't have a telescope. OH MY GOD IT IS SO RED, IT IS CRAZY, WHAT ARE WE DOING, WE ARE IN SPACE!

I am sorry you deleted that. Because the fact that the moon is bigger than an apple is one that could always do with some reinforcing. IT IS SO VERY BIG AND IT HAS MOUNTAINS AND DENTS ON IT! AND OH MY GOD YOU CAN SEE ALL THE SPACE BETWEEN US AND IT. WHAT IS WITH THAT??

It is coming out of it a bit now! I want to see it get all free. I also want to go to bed. Why does life test me in this way?

Patrick Moore is probably in dereliction of his duty. Possibly he could be court-martialled. By the astronomer's court!

Ohh, if they court martialled Patrick Stewart and Patrick Moore together it would be the BEST THING! Patrick Stewart would make big declaimy speeches about science and scapegoats and the freedom of astronomers, and Patrick Moore would look at him in a faintly irritable irascible way because he is too old for all that. And would call him "my boy". And would let Patrick Stewart speechify on for many minutes in their cell before pulling a handful of magic powder out of his pocket and making good their escape in a cloud of purple smoke. OH THEY WOULD LOVE EACH OTHER AND BE MARVELLOUS AND THEN GO ON A SPACESHIP!

God, I cannot wait to go on that march.
