Froderick

Son of iGor was beginning to act a little hinky on me. He's got some years on him and my invariable proclivity for dropping precious things visited itself upon him more than once. Thankfully, I keep him cased in a bouncy rubber iPod case, so the damage was minimal. Nonetheless, he's developed a glitch and, since I've had to sell all my music, my only source of music was the computer, which didn't garner any confidence because what if the computer died? See? I could lose everything.

On top of that, Son of iGor held only 7500 songs and I was well over 6100. I could still add music, but my photos had no place to stay on the already taxed iPod. My dream iPod was the 160 gig super iPod from Hell that held 40k songs and every picture known to humankind. I mentioned this to Aunt Tudi and she mentioned it to the Mother Unit. They went in together and got me one. In keeping with the Son of Frankenstein motif, I've named this iPod Froderick. I guess that means I should have a Froderick icon. When it came in the mail yesterday, I was out of my head. The Mother Unit even printed me out a book the size of War and Peace that explains everything you can do with the iPod Classic. I've got reading to do and in spades. I can't thank them enough for this because music is my life. I would never have written The Vampire Relics had it not been for music and my Joker wouldn't have developed the way he did without the Zoot Suit tunes provided him by iTunes.

This way, I can collect even more tuneage and my photos ~ all 6158 of them ~ are all sitting on Froderick now for viewing by everyone. I even got to show the girls at Doc's office a picture of Fitzgerald, so they'd know who the wormy little fucker was. It was a glorious thing, I tell you, a glorious thing. What's so cool is that I've used less than half the memory of Froderick and can put Uncle Michael's entire library of music on Froderick as well. I'll have so much music, I'll need some sort of musical kaopectate to help me through the wonderfulmousness. It took me about six hours to transfer all the music and photos onto Froderick, but that was well than worth it. I'll be just as patient hooking Uncle Michael's extensive library, if he'll let me borrow it.

This was my Christmas/Chanukah present from Aunt Tudi and Mama. They went ahead and gave it early since Son of iGor was showing signs of pooping out on me. I can't thank them enough. There's nothing I wanted any more than this other than Dave Matthews tied to my bed...nekkid.
