Lazy Hazy Crazy Monday

I've slept for the majority of the day. I have days like that and I don't know why. Someone told me that I should just chalk it up to Fibromyalgia. I've been proofing The Augury of Gideon, but very slowly. It's a much shorter manuscript than The Blood Crown, but it's chock full of insights and adventure of a kind. There's also the huge probability that I'll be doing major rewrites of this particular book. I was on a new med when I wrote parts of the book that I don't even remember writing. Needless to say, I'm no longer on that medication. I miss gunslingaaahhh and luvthyjoker We were in almost constant communication this time last year. Now we're down to nothing. It's depressing. Someone wrote me what I believe is my first fan letter. Check it out.

I have read, sadly, only fragments of your manuscript, as they came along or popped up on my feed, yet I feel the need to respond, as incomplete as my knowledge is. I went through a stage with my sons when they were younger, neither of them liked to read, and I eventually stumbled upon a book specifically about the topic. One of the first things the book said, was that the difference between people who like to read and those who don't is, readers make mental images as they read, 'playing a movie out in their heads', as it were. I love to read, but I was completely unaware up until that point that other people didn't do this. And so, I sought out books for my sons that helped them create this vivid mental imagery. In so doing, I found that there are many, many authors who are incapable of creating these images, and so when we see an example of writing that we 'can't get into' (you know the kind, if you can get through the first 400 pages....), it may very well be a flaw on the part of the writer, not the reader.
You, my friend, do NOT have this flaw. You are one of the most extraordinary artists in this form that I have seen in a long time. More than once I have thought to buzz you and request permission to use one line or another as a status, or as a quote in some other way. My only regret is that I have not made the time in my life to read the work in its entirety, but I will do so. I speak only as one who truly loves reading, I have no 'credentials' in this area, but I hope these words mean something to you, you are truly gifted--Rebecca Bobor

How cool is that? I think this book is going to go well. I just up the consecutive two do as well as The Chalice is promising.
