Gratitude and gumption

(waves hello)
There are two things I've tried to cultivate during my absence from lj: gratitude and gumption. So far so good on both.
I finally came to the realization that I need to get back in the habit of publishing again, not for money but for the challenge of it. For me, the only way to get better at writing is to treat it with respect. so I'm respecting the work I've done and am giving it a chance. Here's what I'm up to:
1. Gave Haunted book to a woman who knows Latin well so my use of it can be checked
2. Gave Haunted book to a PhD candidate in literature, so she can tell me what she thinks
3. Purchased the professional services of an editor for a beta read on the Haunted book
4. Am finishing and prepping the illustrations for Haunted epub file.
So I am getting serious, and I'm very grateful for all the encouragement you guys have ever given me. Many, many thanks. Seriously, you guys rock.

This is September, so I'm also going to try and squeeze in a few short tales to be posted in October. I've missed doing that and it's time to work those in again. Suggestions are welcome.
