Past work and present prank?

Someone emailed me and asked for the four House/Logan stories (since only one of them is archived anywhere online, except maybe here). I haven't been asked for a story in years, so it was (admittedly) a pleasant boost to the day, until I realized 1) they emailed an address not associated with my fanfic handle and 2) the name of the emailer was an author, and I mean an author who actually publishes books about writing. Huh. Is this a gag? Anyone out there pulling my leg?
