How about a Meme?

May 13, 2007 23:59

A quick note to TSK: Do this! It's a Meme! Both me and Sheera want you to! Don't make us gang up and use peer pressure!

1 - Comment and ask to be tagged!
2 - I will pick THREE of your icons and THREE of your keywords I find odd or nifty!
3 - You post, explaining in detail about the three I chose!
4 - People comment on your post!

Sheera tagged, I answered... )

I posted this exact meme on my LJ, but I think it got lost amongst my many bitching posts about essays and grad school...so...er...consider this a comment.

Also, if you happen to get a hold of Liza, tell her 'hi' for me? I've got the print of hers Drowned that I bought from deviant art on my wall a while ago...and whenever I look at it, I think of her.

Also. Hi!

Well hey you. :) Are you saying we share the same social disease?

Well, if you've already done it, does that mean you're not up for it again?

Yeah, I should get ahold of her. One of the drawbacks of moving is I tend to misplace things like phone numbers. >< Still, we're all worried now, but I bet you anything she's fine and having the time of her life working on something... probably helped do Venom in the new Spiderman, knowing her.

Ah... Drowned. I remember when she did that one. She'd been experimenting with Corel Draw, trying to do a sort of water color still life. But water color wasn't really her thing, and still life just wasn't her style, you know? So she went back to something much more basic, much more Isra.

I'm still annoyed she only has a fraction of her work up on Deviant Art. I wish I could show you the one I have, Red, but she never did put it up. You know artistic types... no piece is as exciting as the one they're currently working on. *L*

And in closing: Hey yourself. :) How is grad school going?

Here are three interests and icons I've already given answers to...oh wait, never mind I just saw that you found it ^_^

Wow, another case of a seriously tough elimination process. So many of your interests just beg to be elaborated on.

My final line-up:

history, penguins, quotations

Okie-dokie, but I have to split this comment up because apparently I'm over the max word limit *_*

HistoryWell I guess that’s a rather broad interest eh? I guess to put it simply, I love learning about the past. About different perspectives of the past. I think it’s important to learn where we came from, in order to learn and not repeat or mistakes (or watch, dumbfounded as we do) and where we go into the future. It informs of what’s happening today and of why it’s happening. It’s also what I studied at university. I majored in history for those reasons, but I also majored in Anthropology because who decides what becomes “history” is skewed. It’s often whichever side won a war, or whoever conquered an area or a people, who whoever has a political agenda. Although learning about events, one must also question why things happened the way they did, why people choose to study or elaborate on certain things/people and not others, and always question “Whose” history are we learning about? But anyone who thinks learning about ( ... )

I know what you mean. I'm going to have to make mine a separate post.

Very interesting take on quotations. And for the record I agree with you on history. Everything comes round again.

Despite its simplicity, I still really like it.

Hey, don't knock it. It's always been one of my favorites. Actually, confession: I've tried to replicate that light effect many times. Either I don't have the skill, or my program just isn't capable of it. But seriously, it's perfect for the picture and the dispersement of the text.

Wow, you weren't kidding about sad musings, were you? Is there a story behind that? (Or is that too personal a question?)

And Damn, the more I hear about Supernatural, the more I wish I had cable. Oh well, I can always jump on late like I did with Smallville, right?

Uhm, that was a rather lengthy explanation. My apologies.

No! Don't apologize! You haven't seen length until you've seen mine. ;)

And if there are any others you're curious about, just let me know ^_~.

God, I had a thousand questions a few days ago. Hmm...

What icon/interest do you wish someone had asked you about?
