Yesterday while working, beside the field of grass,
I saw the figure of Jesus, standing barefoot on broken glass,
His face was dirty, smell of sickness filled the air,
asking if I had something, anything that I could spare
Emaciated, His little belly blown up,
influenza and pnemonia,
begging God to take His cup.
So different from his pictures,
no pants, no shirt, no shoes,
Jesus Christ, dying of AIDS,
can look right through you.
And all have faked it,
took a look and turned away,
savior of the little boys,
girls and babies of the bateys
Under tin roofs, with hands raised,
from the plantations they praise His name,
broke and barefoot in the dark of night,
raise your voices to Jesus Christ.

what to say. im cant even think straight right now. we got home around 9 30ish last night and went thru immigration and they lost most of our luggage cept for one piece of mine and mallory's. mr.borland gave me, elisabeth, dave, dan, and drew a ride back to the church and my mom picked me up.
mm i guess i just give a recap on friday and do the rest later. we all woke up at 5 in the morning and had breakfast at 6 and left a 6 30 to load the bus. took out my sweatshirt and napped for most of the 4 hr bus ride. stopped at the capital and did some shopping and got some amazing coffee and stuff for my fam. got to the airport and it took at least a 1/2 hr to check in and get our boarding passes. we went to the gate and went to the bathroom and got lunch. burger and fries... it wasnt so good. we met another missions team from chicago and they were all chinese and when i first saw them i was like "CHINOS!" haha cuz all the kids in the DR called me "china" it was good times. we got on the plane and andrew put his drum in one of the closets w/o telling the stewardess. some guy took his window seat so i told the guy he could have mine right behind andrew and i'd take the middle one so he wouldnt have to sit by himself. we both slept for most of the flight. i woke up for oj and pretzels. we stared out of the window and took pics of the amazing views. it was only 2 hrsish and we had a layover in miami. i called my mom and she was like "omg i missed you so much!" and then andrew called his mom and all that jazz. we ran to immigration, picked up our luggage and dropped it off. ran like crazy ppl to our elevator to go to our gate. said bye to nance. said bye to matty at our gate. went through security. rannn to our gate and got there just in time. i switched my seat w/ angela cuz the couple i was gonna sit next to were sooo weird. chilled w/ sb. slept alot. paid 3 dollars for incredibally disgusting snacks. the salsa was so dark and gross. the chips were stale. the shortbread was sketchy and omg the turkey strip. DISGUSTING. haha tried to shove it in andrew's mouth... twas funny. slept more... saw a big flash in my dream *cough* charlie ur dead *cough* and andrew woke me up when we were about to land. called my mom and that was cool... andrew called his mom. we went out and met the group outside the gate and it was B36 again haha. went to the baggage claim and alex, teresa, mrs. barrett, and james were there to meet us. andrew said bye to everyone and it was incredibally sad :( hugs all around and he left. then it was another round of a series of hugs before mr. borland got us to leave. i swear seperation anxiety is kicking in. i got home and cried myself to sleep... yeaaa so that was my day of traveling. very emotional. mm i'll give an update later bout the trip.
