"You would make a good Dalek."

"I am Princess Teresa of Liechtenstein."
"Oh...you. What a coincidence."
"Coincidence? Why?"
"Well, because I am the Lord High Duke Martin of Crieffstonia."

"I am Princess Teresa of Liechtenstein. I would like you to charter the king and I from Vaduz to Fitton."
"Of course! Fly The King and I? That certainly is The Sound of Music to our ears! Why not, since we flew Madame Butterfly over the South Pacific last week?"

"Is that understood?"
"Yes."
"Yes what?"
"Yes, it is."
"Yes, it is understood."
"Yes, it is understood what?"
"Yes, it is understood... please."

"Morning, Douglas."
"Morning, O Sir."
"Don't call me Sir."
"Sir's mind is fickle and changeable."

Cabin Pressure kills me all the time no matter how many times I've heard it haha John Finnemore is (to use his own word) brilliant.

I'm not sure I can ever study without studying Literature because Lit has been such an integral part of my life when Geog lessons are overwhelming and Econs lessons are tiring and Math lessons are just impossibly mind-frying I can always rely on Lit to blow my mind with the beauty of words and the bits and pieces that writers weave into their styles and every sentence and I recall how each lesson of Wuthering Heights enlightened me because every word mattered and it became more and more beautiful each time I read it and I don't want to ever study anywhere, regardless of course, without taking Lit - because I know, I know for sure how much I will miss out on.

There's a Language Preparation Programme thing in NUS where students take French/ German/ Korean and are obliged to go on exchange in Belgium/ France/ Switzerland (for French) and that is something I so dearly want hahaha because seriously French is beautiful so beautiful and I realise how important languages are to me because they are so interwoven in the fabric of not just "society" but the whole world and is the sole means of how we communicate anything with anyone and yeah

And I so badly want to study Lit and French and all the things I love (along with Business as my core course of course haha) and I want to make the most of this golden opportunity that God has so graciously given me.

And because there is always a Doctor Who link to everything in my life currently: I cannot imagine disliking Rose because she's not as pretty as Amy (and liking Amy more because she's pretty), disliking Donna because she's crude and harsh and loud, writing Martha off because she's "not Rose" or finding Clara annoying because she's not as pretty as Amy or enigmatic or something. I need to know that Rose is perfect for the Doctor because she made him a better person and grew personally at the same time, Martha a good companion because she tried to be his friend even though she loved him, Donna because she was kind and the Doctor's best friend, Amy... not Amy because she was at least half the time getting herself into trouble and calling "Doctor...?" to get her out of trouble (sorry, unpopular opinion) (not actually sorry I realise), and Clara because of the parallels to Rose. And Lit is what separates the second set of opinions from the first - the ability to understand characters (and people, in a wider context) for their purpose and not just their surface.
