Call it a rant....
But I've decided that's what I DO with my LJ account. See, none of the people I'm would piss off know about this account. So, here goes.
No offense to my friends (who again, don't know about this account) who participated, but can we PLEASE declared Flashmobs OVER? I mean, it was cool when they sang "Do Re Mi" in Antwerp (well, DANCED to it). But now, they're just so played out. I think the 50-year-old in Seattle dancing with a bunch of 20-somethings while wearing his Bluetooth was the final nail.
But have they stopped? No. No, they haven't.
I'm very happy my friends who participated in the "flashmob" at Qwest Field this weekend had a nice time. Flashmobs aren't scheduled ahead of time. Admittedly, you can't flashmob a pro football game without getting arrested. But since they scheduled it in advance, it wasn't a flashmob. It was a halftime show. And since it was a halftime show and a PRO FOOTBALL GAME, it should have been much more polished. I've performed halftime shows on pro football fields. They need to be AWESOME. This was nice. Fun. But not a halftime show. And since it wasn't a halftime show and it wasn't a flashmob, it's just...lame.
