Yamada watched as Yuri skipped across the room and into Dai-chan's lap. He watched as he tilt himself slightly in position so that he could talk more easily with Dai-chan. The smiles on their faces and the small but obvious interactions. Somehow, every single move made his heart feel much heavier than before.
After seeing Dai-chan laugh at something Yuri said, he shut his manga and stood up. He noticed Dai-chan pinching his cheeks when he left the set. Heading back to the rest room, he sank down into the sofa and placed his manga at the side, leaning his head back, he closed his eyes.
What's wrong with him?
Recently, he's been feeling weird whenever he sees something like that. Is that jealously? Jealously? No. That can't be. It must be loneliness.
He was always the one Yuri head to whenever he needs someone, so it's perfectly normal to feel lonely when Yuri bounces off to someone else. Right?
Yamada don't understand anymore. He's confused. The heart is complicated and so is his feelings.
There's no reason to feel lonely and there's even less reasons to feel jealous. He's the one who spent everyday with Yuri, practically every hour even but... the heavy feeling in his heart is still there.
He sighed.
A dark shadow passed his eyes and he frowned before opening his eyes.
"Chii!"
Gasping, he sat up immediately, his heart beating fast. Yuri was peering at him from behind the sofa as he stood hovering over Yamada, wondering why on earth he's sighing.
It was more of the shock than the close proximity that made Yamada gasp though, he's definitely used to Yuri being close.
"Ryosuke~~ Why are you alone here? And why are you sighing?"
His questions came sharp as he turned around the corner and plop himself down beside Yamada on the sofa.
"Eto..."
Even if he's going to explain, it's going to be hard. He can't even understand himself!
"Nande mo nai desu."
He flashed his signature smile towards Yuri as he leaned back on the sofa once more.
"Hontou?"
Yamada nodded as he looked at Yuri, whose expression proved anything but believe.
Suddenly Yuri moved, pulling Yamada's arm up as he scooted downwards, adjusting his position best to rest his head on Yamada's lap. Lying down, he turned to face Yamada and gave him a smile as he held onto Yamada's hand.
"Ryosuke oyasumi~"
Another smile and he closed his eyes, snuggling closer to Yamada as he continued to hold on to Yamada's left hand.
"Chii.."
He sat still, stunned for a moment before a soft smile gradually appeared. One small action and it warmed his heart greatly.
Ever so gently, he placed his right hand on Yuri's forehead and stroke his hair softly.
"Oyasumi."
