Yamada was arranging his presents on the table when Yuri popped up in front of him and gained his attention.
"Otanjoubi omedetto~~~"
His wide smile, the grin and the sparkling aura caught Yamada's heart and it gave a squeeze.
No matter how many times. No matter when. Yuri always have that effect on him.
"Arigatou Chii~"
He reached out to ruffle Yuri's hair lovingly, gaining him a cute pout in return.
When Yuri look like he wasn't going to do anything else, Yamada blinked.
"No present?"
"Hmm? Nani?"
An innocent reply but it broke Yamada's heart. The most anticipated present. The one he most wanted, most excited to know what he'll recieve. The person he most want to get a present from...
His face fell, every so slightly but he tried to keep the smile on his face, just so that Yuri won't notice.
"Betsuni.."
Another ruffle and he gained a smack on his hands.
He couldn't describe the feeling he was feeling at that point of time. Was it disappointment? Or sadness?
Yamada know though, that he shouldn't get his hopes high. But he still hoped and now his hopes were smashed.
Yuri doesn't know and he doesn't need to. That's what Yamada keep telling himself, which is why all those attempts of writing a letter to him, a letter to let him know of his feelings were thrown away.
He sighed as he turned back to his presents. A soft sigh but Yuri heard it anyway..
A smirk appeared, unnoticed by Yamada.
A tap on his shoulder and he turned around.
"Hmm?"
"Joudan desu."
"Eh?"
"Close your eyes."
Bewildered, Yamada did as he was told. Not suspecting the least bit, even when he knew that Yuri has a devil side to him.
A short pause and then something soft touched his lips. So gentle and so full of love.
Yamada's eyes shot open and he found Yuri at close proximity, eyes closed and... kissing him.
Yuri felt him move and he broke the kiss, grinning at the shocked Yamada.
"Omedetto~ Ryosuke daisuki~"
Yamada blinked, too shocked for words.
Yuri watched as he moved his hands to his lips unconsciously, touching where he had just kissed him and blinked again, staring at Yuri.
Another wide grin, a poke on his cheeks before Yuri skipped away, whistling to himself.
"Eh?"
Yamada couldn't comprehend what just happened. Did Yuri just.... just... kissed him?!
Yuri smiled as he turned out of sight and leaned against the wall.
He took out the letter from his pocket, folded neatly into a heart shape and unfold it.
"I complain, yes, but deep down, I know I love you"
"Fanservice. That's what we call it. But do you know that I truly love you?"
Yuri smiled once again. How long? How long has he been waiting to hear these words. To know that his feelings were not being wasted. To know that the one he loves love him back?
The paper was crumpled but Yuri had smoothened it out after picking it out from the rubbish bin, carefully flattening it out so that he can keep it forever.
He held the letter close to his heart and closed his eyes.
"I love you too Ryosuke. And you should know that."
