Obligatory Political Commentary Post

Nov 01, 2010 23:25

I try not to be too dogmatic in my political views. I certain bedrock principles that I try always to keep in mind, but I can be wrong about the best way to serve those principles. I have been before. The world is a complex and ever changing place, and all.

That said.

PUNS, sir? PUNS? Not even good puns! In an ad with seizure-inducing flashes?!? Your opponent is hammering you on bribery, deceit and lies, and the best you can come up with is a visual gag?

You, sir, quantifiably suck. Your opinions do not intrigue me, and I do not wish to subscribe to your newsletter. I said good day!

(For those wishing to know: the gag is that "Patrick ROSE is a THORN in the side of Texas." With a desaturated picture of a rose and one of the thorns highlighted. You know, in case we were too dumb to get it. I have had 5 flyers from Punboys campaing in which that is the ONLY statement, along with a reminder to vote for Punboy. Aaarrrrgh.)

politics, puns
