Avatars für alles

It occurred to me that it's been around a year since I last made avatars. I used to sit down and go into avatar-making-mode whenever I bought a new Disney film. Now I have six new films I haven't avatared yet. I'm totally off my game here.

The annoying thing is I don't have the DVD-player program I want to use. I used to have a version of PowerDVD that a friend of mine had and installed for me, and it was completely awesome. Unfortunately, that was apparently just one version of PowerDVD and all the rest work differently. With the one I had you just pressed a key (I think it was P) and it saved the still in a gallery on the right hand side of the screen. All other versions I have tried demos of have saved just one image at a time (I think it was at the press of the C button), which I don't like since it doesn't give you the opportunity to check the caption before saving it. In other words you don't know if you got a good still or not. Also, the frame-by-frame function has sucked rather hard in all those other versions. Problem is I don't have the faintest clue which version I used to have. All I know was that it was installed in 2004, but I don't know how long ago my friend had bought it, so I don't know which edition it was. I'm seriously starting to consider joining a computer geek web forum just to see if someone there knows which version I'm after. I don't want to pay lots of money for a program version I don't like to work with.

Wish me luck in finding the proper version =)
