five pairings meme. Billie Jenkins
“If your mother finds out, she’s going to kill us.”
“She’s not going to find out. Would you stop worrying?”
“Chris, it’s kind of hard not to worry about it. She’s a Charmed One.”
“Yeah, and you survived the last time she tried to kill you.”
“But I wasn’t dating her son then,” Billie pointed out, “And I’m a lot older than you. I mean, come on, I used to baby sit for you.”
Chris considered this for a moment then grinned, “Care to see how things have grown since then?”
“Chris!” Billie admonished before breaking out in giggles at the young man who was certainly making her feel like a teenager again.
Bianca
“You know what they say, don’t you?” Bianca said as she stood in the park, her face hidden in the darkness, “Better the devil you know.”
“In our case, shouldn’t that be the demon you love?” Chris asked as he approached her, “Bianca…”
“Chris, don’t,” She cautioned him as she held up her hand to stop his approach, “We can’t do this.”
“Why not?”
“You’re a Charmed son. I’m a demon. This is just wrong, and you know it.”
“No one can tell us this is wrong if we don’t let them. We’re the ones in power now, Bianca. There’s no Elders to boss me around or a Source to make you do his bidding. We get to choose,” He spoke as he pulled her close to him, barely a whisper between them, “I love you, Bianca, and I’m never going to give up on you.”
Bianca met his eyes and knew that he meant what he said. She didn’t know if it would be safe for them, especially him. She only knew that she loved him too.
Lindsay Monroe
“How did you do that?” Lindsay asked with wide eyes.
“Do what?” Chris asked, wanting to kick himself for being caught using his powers.
“Move that knife from across the room,” She asked as she studied the knife embedded in the wall.
“I didn’t do anything.”
“I saw you wave your hand and the knife hit the wall,” She declared, “How did you do that?”
Chris frowned, wondering just how much truth this lady really wanted. He shrugged, “Magic.”
Lindsay broke a slight smile, “Can you do it again?”
Calleigh Duquesne
“Chris, you can’t be here. It’s a crime scene,” Calleigh pointed out as she pushed Chris behind a door, hoping beyond hope that Horatio hadn’t seen Chris orb in.
“Not really. A warlock did this,” He explained as he tried peaking at the body on the floor.
“Why would a warlock kill someone and leave any evidence behind?”
“He’s looking for an amulet, but he hasn’t found it yet. The witch who had it sold it at a pawn shop, and apparently it’s went through several owners since then. The warlock won’t stop killing until he finds it.”
Calleigh took a deep breath. Ever since she’d met Chris Halliwell, she’d been up to her ears in the supernatural. She eyed him closely, “Look, you have to let me do my job, or I won’t be able to protect your secret.”
“I have to get that ring off the body. That ring was bought with the amulet. I’m hoping I can use the ring to scry for the amulet and get there before the warlock does,” Chris explained, “Come on, Cal, please?”
“How about I get the ring for you? Would that work?”
Chris nodded.
“Stay there,” Calleigh ordered before walking over to the body and knelt down, “I can’t believe I’m doing this,” She sighed as she removed the ring from the body and hoped no one would be the wiser.
Sara Sidle
“I know you were there. I have your fingerprints,” Sara declared as she leaned over the table, “Why were you in the victim’s apartment?”
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” Chris sighed as he sat back in the chair and looked at the CSI’s eyes.
“Try me.”
He grinned, “You really wouldn’t believe me.”
“Keep that up and you’ll find yourself in prison. Juries don’t like people who insult their intelligence,” She glared at him.
“I’m not insulting anyone. I’m just stating the obvious. You’re a scientist. I highly doubt you’d believe me if I told you this entire situation was caused by a demon.”
“There it is. The old insanity defense. I knew it was coming,” She shook her head, “You can go, but don’t leave town. I’m going to be watching every step you make.”
Chris grinned as he stood, still very close to her. He looked down into her beautiful eyes and spoke, “Good. This should be fun,” He winked at her before he left the police station, looking forward to a game of cat and mouse with Ms. Sidle.
