Both my TV and computer are acting up now. My TV has been going out since early November. I have to let it warm up, but it's getting worse. The lines that are so bad and make it unwatchable when I turn it on, never really go away. The lines get much smaller, but they're still there. I at least still have a decent picture, but it's not quite right.
My computer is having all kinds of other problems. Sometimes when I try to shut it down, it throws errors at me and doesn't allow me to do so and I wind up hitting the switch. This happens about half the time. I also have issues quite often where it gives a message that something is wrong with the registry and it needs to restore it. This happens a couple of times a week. The worst thing is what has been happening lately, where it will just reboot for no apparent reason. While I'm sure part of the issue is Windows, the rebooting more than likely is due to either the power supply, the CPU, or the mother board going out. The power supply if relatively cheap (I think), but if it's one of the others, it's time to get a different computer.
The TV was bought in '92, so I guess I got my money's worth out of that. The computer was bought off eBay in '99 and is only a 350MHz, so I guess it's probably well past it's prime. I suppose I've gotten my money's worth out that as well, but I was hoping it would last longer. I guess it won't.
