So my new job in Magnolia has kept me busy for the last month and a half. I am very pleased with it though. Working here has made me realize the urgent need for more homecare providers in the senior community. I've cut back hours significantly at the deli; they have their summer crew working there so it's not too bad. I work random saturdays when I am available from my caregiving job. If anyone would like to hang out, my work schedule as of right now is Tuesday thru Saturday (with the weekly overnight stay at a senior housing facility on Capitol Hill) so if anyone would like to hang out, Sundays and Mondays are A-OK.
In other news, the townhouse Mac and I are moving into is 95% complete. Yard fencing needs to be put in, as well as paved parking zones. They also need to do house inspections before giving the thumbs up and a certificate of occupancy (CO). Mac is up on Whidbey Island and won't come home until next Sunday so if we get the keys this week, it'll just be me, my sister and her husband moving stuff in. I am really excited for the house. HOUSEWARMING IN SEPTEMBER.
Also, I'm in my last year of UG study at Seattle University. I'm not really freaking out about what I want to do after my BA; I feel that I'm on my track already with my caregiving job. I am looking into the possibility of going into geriatric studies at the U of W afterwards, and possibly building a Masters around that. Time and planning will tell... wish me luck!
