It has been a pretty good day today. The weather is lovely with sunshine, cool breezes and a promise for some rain later this evening. I even ventured out of the house this afternoon and SCORED HUGELY while shopping. Of course, I bought shoes--RED shoes! (Somehow, I should be listening to Kate, but I don't have any of her music. Boo.)
Anyhow, my friend's store was full of bargains! Bob even scored on a designer dress shirt and a couple of silk ties. I found a perfectly tailored Jones New York suit jacket, a pair of skinny Tommy pants (not jeans), and glorious RED heels. We walked out of there spending less than $50! The shoes are my favourite, naturally. The price on the box is $189.00, my price? Ten whole dollars! The leather is so soft, they feel like slippers. LOVE!
We also went to another store so I could pick up a wedding shower gift and that purchase was on sale as well! This is why I take Bob with me to shop, not just because I hate to do it, but he seems to sniff out a sale and scores every single time. It's true.
The first game of the Stanley Cup Finals is on television right now and I have steaks marinating. Obviously, we will be eating a very late dinner, which is fine. I'm not hungry yet after eating such a late breakfast in the middle of the afternoon.
