Ave, but hey, history is still a game

Because I haven't done it in awhile.

1. Jem was awesome
2. We lost to Miami, at our last home game as students. And as I swayed with two teary eyed friends, I was shocked that I wasn't upset. I guess it's because I'm looking forward to attending the games after graduation as well:)
3. My dad and brother came, and it was pretty awesome. Got to share my final game as a student with my brother, which was cool.

Then- this week was ok. I've been working on my research paper, and a first draft is in so that's cool. In between then I did some other work, watched love actually way too many times, played basketball twice, participated in a protest, and saw my lover JOHN LEGEND.

The protest was awesome. UVA shits all over rape survivors, by letting their rapists stay in school. How is that ok? So we stood in silence along the walk to the lawn in front of garrett- and my history professor walked by, smiled, and gave me a thumbs up.

The "unity" program was good- wow there was one poet who was awesome. He got up there and stuttered in his intro, being like,"uh, well, here goes- hope it doesn't suck." Then he spit it like WHOA. Blown away. I am kind of frustrated with Dean Rue, about the rape stuff, and her speech didn't add to my opinion of her because it seemed, well, kind of divisive for a unity program. She kept referring to "we" and "them", talking about how us whites feel about blacks. And I am fully aware of all of that, but I thought she should have tailored her speech to unity, given the program and all.

In spite of it, JOHN LEGEND WAS AWESOME. He was so cute, so talented, and we saw him in the student movie theater for THREE DOLLARS. I mean, first year I saw John Mayer in Plan 9 for free, and then him for 3 dollars- awesome.

The biggest news is that one of my roommates moved out yesterday. It's something that we're going to have to deal with as an apartment, and it sucks. It's just so bizarre- I really am speechless because of it.

Today, I did community service, visited Innisfree (a commune for people with mental retardation in the mountains) to sign with Chris, and shopped at Gap. And went to the biltmore.

This weekend will be interesting, considering 'the roommate' is coming for the rest of her stuff.

NOTE TO READERS- DON'T LIVE WITH PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW WELL. IT DOESN'T TURN OUT WELL. EVER.

I never knew that I'd have to deal with all this.

anyhow- not going to let anything ruin my lovely mood.

prob. chilling in this weekend- kind of in a chill mood:)

adios!
