Okay, so here it is. It's taken me two nights of brainstorming and organizing and here is the sparkly list of the things that I've been wanting to do and am pretty confidant I can do in a little under three years. It will be perfect because the deadline is 6 days before my 30th birthday.
That's about all for the intro. My brain is like, so dead right now I'm almost cross-eyed.
::EDIT:: I'm going to put in italics what I'm currently working on and strikeout what I've already accomplished.
101 in 1001
1. Have one night a week that it's just us doing fun stuff, i.e. going to the zoo, watching movies with popcorn and hot chocolate, building 'tent city' and just hanging out with them, etc.
2. Try to have more patience with Steven when he tells me his seven minute long versions of things. Austin used to do that, too, and now I would give anything to hear him do that again. Be thankful Steven can articulate so well.
3. Try to at least forgive my mother.
4. Help my Dad find a place of his own and get him back on his OWN two feet so he can do for himself once again.
5. Ahem. Stop being a douche to Scotty. He's 18. I have officially made his life a living hell long enough. Now it's time to focus on building a strong connection to my only brother. And not just my-fist-to-his-face connection, either, though those are always fun.
6. Keep up on the search for my Hungarian ancestry.
7. Get on a plane and actually fly somewhere cool.
8. Go snowboarding
9. Cool my temper down. I don't want to be a rage-aholic.
10. Start a savings account. CD.
11. Make a budget and STICK TO IT
12. Try not to overdraw my checking account anymore. Really.
13. Try to pay off at least half of the debt that I owe. Much easier considering that the debt collecting company that deals with my unpaid medical bills from years ago is taking me to court!
14. Start making conscious buying decisions instead of getting swept away by retail reverie. (I should totally copyright that.)
15. Before going to Costco and spending $500, try Grocery Outlet or, gulp, Marketplace. Stop being such a goddamned grocery store snob! I'm getting pretty good at not just going to Costco and loading up. I shop around for deals a lot more and just generally remember that money is actually money, not some imaginary substance that never runs out.
