I drove Lucy to another city and gave her to the Boston Terrier rescue lady. Her new owners are coming to get her on Saturday and then she'll get to go live in Kansas City. Lucy got spayed this morning. I asked the rescue lady to call and tell me how it went, and she did. Everything went fine and Lucy is drowsy and recovering tonight at the rescue lady's house. While I know that realistically, adopting a new puppy was a bad idea, I still feel like my heart is breaking. It felt awful handing over that warm little spider monkey to someone else. I feel so sad that I am not with her after her surgery.
