Reasons why I'll miss my job - Part II

Meeting Europeans.

Not that it was a regular thing, but the time I spent in Germany with Gordon, Jennifer, and Edo was probably the most enjoyable time of my career so far.  Germans can be hilarious - especially the ones who don't mind making fun of their obsessive-compulsive precision and attention to detail.  And the Swedes - they'll have you doubled over from laughing so hard over something as silly as the idea of shooting icebergs for a living...

I got in touch with one of the guys today - he's actually a former Brit, transplanted in Germany.  His name is York, but he has earned the nickname of "Yorkie."  Turns out the nickname actually has a pretty cute meaning behind it, too.

Excerpt from an Email from York:

"Hi again Tina,

aha, so you know about the Yorkie chocolate bars? (As in http://whimsicalfilm.com/scotland/pic04h.jpg). (My US folks also brought up the "peppermint patties") :-)..."
