Resolutions (kind of)

I’m laying this out not as an absolute for this year, because if I don’t succeed in all of these things I won’t consider myself a failure. I have self-confidence and can say I’m in a good place, but these things can help me get to a better place.

1. Be more active - This is better than just saying “lose weight” because I can actually achieve this goal. I cannot guarantee myself large amounts of weight loss, but focusing on being healthy and being more active is a realistic goal.

2. Save more money - I want to move out, and I need many a piece of furniture, so I need to stop spending money on clothes and save it for things I actually need.

3. Pay off credit card - This is an easy one, considering I don’t have much debt. But my goal is to have all this taken care of by the beginning of March.

4. Apply and be accepted to grad school - This is a new goal. I have been thinking about it a lot lately, and I just need to go back to school. I have yet to decide where I want to go and what I want to go for, but by waiting to start until fall 2009 I will give myself about a year to deicde (considering most fall application deadlines are January 15 of the same year, and with personal statements and recommendation letters needed, it takes a while to get everything together for the applications.) I am very flexible with this goal, because I don’t want to turn down any opportunities that come my way, but right now I just think this is the next logical step in my life. But who knows.

That’s all. 2007 was a great year for me - with college graduation, getting a job and a new car - so I’m really excited for what 2008 will bring.
