(no subject)
as an update i went to the doctor this morning and they ripped the gauze off (which hurt. a lot) and cleaned my finger up and everything. they wrapped it up in this cute little self-adhering ace bandage kind of thing. they were going to give me a fake plastic finger to put on over it, but it was wrapped too large and one wouldn't fit. so they gave me a big toe.
it seems very margot tennenbaum. my mom helped me change my guaze again tonight. they want me to start doing it TWICE a day now. i pretty much did it on my own though and i felt accomplish. i even looked at it without passing out.
i do, however have to go to work in the morning though. 830-500. back to the regular work shifts i guess. i think it won't take them long to realize there is nothing i can do with only one hand. like. i literally can't think of one thing i can do there without both hands...
the scary part of this is that the workers compensation doctor i saw today said depending on the way it healed i might be referred to a plastic surgeon to get a skin graph. so that means i might have a butt finger someday in the near future. i hope it doesn't come to that in the end. [no pun intended.]
