But it's just so hot, it incinerates my thoughts, and I'm not really able to make it stop.
well.
since we've last talked, we've lost heat (down to 46) and gained heat (up to 84). landlords are a difficult thing to deal with, but i can honestly say i've never been so uncomfortable with my general environment. i love the apartment, i love my roommates, i love my bedroom, but dang. tonight will be the second night (in i'll say a week) that i haven't felt comfortable enough to sleep in my own bedroom. so it's the couch for me. amanda and i just wrote them an email asking for them to do something about it. there has to be some sort of happy medium between 46 and 84. there's a lot of degrees in between there.
also i'm sick. i have this weird cold thing that i think is borderline flu because my stomach has gotten involved. it started the day before valentine's day and although it's gone through many changes, and i've felt varying degrees of sickness, it just won't leave me alone. i was just wiped out for two days straight. i'm sure this heating situation isn't helping.
maybe i'm lazy, or complainy or whatever but that stuff... on top of my work schedule this week, is going to put me in a really miserable mood. i worked eight hours today and yesterday and will be working from 8-4 at the school and 5-9 at wegmans monday through thursday, and (only) 8-4 on friday. everyday i will be working only with the teacher that i have trouble with. it's going to be stress stress stress. but even that is managable... the worst part is all because i'm short on my hours to get insurance through wegmans. i'll be cramming in a million hours between now and march 17th.
but on the other hand. i was scheduled to work friday night from 530-930 and i think i have someone to work my hours... and i managed to get the weekend off so i can visit emma in boston! i'm really looking forward to seeing her and getting a good weekend long tour by someone who knows their way around. i just hope i'm feeling better by then! i'll be tagging along with amanda as she travels through to new hampshire. if all goes well, we'll be leaving sometime around dinner time on friday and coming home sometime monday (which i also have off).
and, this week at allendale we're going on a bowling and pizza hut field trip one day and celebrating the chinese new year tomorrow by making fortune cookies and ordering chinese food and making masks and stuff, so that'll be fun.
so now it's after 1, and i have to wake up at 7, and i'm on the couch all settled in, and it's definitely time for bed. wish me luck.
