Today was a good day. It wasn't as hot as yesterday but it was still gorgeous outside - fortunate for me, because I finally dusted off my bike and went out for my first bike ride of the summer, down to Centennial Beach and back. It was good, but early on I realized that I was not in the same shape I once was - I was straining far too early into riding, and I was going downhill. On my way back home, coming uphill, I actually had to stop to take a breather. True, whenever I ride, I gun it as hard as I can - I have a need for speed, after all - but on a 30 minute bike ride there should be no reason at all for me to need a breather so I can make it up a tiny hill just a few minutes from home.
Toldja I was fat. But at least I already feel good, mentally and physically - if the weather is nice tomorrow I'll be doing it again.

After that, I saw Team Canada lose to Russia in overtime in the IIHF World Championship - which didn't bother me much because I don't particularly care about that tournament. It's just another international tourney for me. The only hockey I truly care about with a passion would be the NHL (of course), the Olympics, and the World Junior Championships. Apart from that, it's nice if we win, but I'm not devastated if we don't.
I went to the movies this afternoon as well, but I was accompanied by someone this time - my mom wanted to see the newest theatrical adaption of the Narnia series, and I was somewhat curious, so we went. It was all good but I still preferred the original one featuring some lion, some witch, and some wardrobe - two of the three returning in this installment, but only in tiny cameos. Booo.
