First off, let's start with some more lyrical madness:
Tim's Stupid Song Lyric of the Day
-by Rodney Dangerfield, "Rapping Rodney"
"Steak and sex, my favourite pair.
I have them the both way: very rare."
Now on to some serious business. Remember a few days back when I posted about a job I thought was a scam? I wrote the people there about questions anyway - primarily asking why there was a $25 application fee and what guarnatee there was for me getting not only this fee back in payment for jobs completed, but future jobs beyond that. Here's the response:
Hello Tim,
Thank you for your inquiry into our website. We have this one time fee to help offset some of our operating costs to run our business. As a lot of our companies that we work with are fortune 500 companies, such as Microsoft and Hewlett Packard just to name a few of them, and we have not had any of our members not make this $24.95 back.
I hope I have answered all of your questions, if not please email me back.
Best Regards,

http://www.Surveyjob.net" Great, but that doesn't really say anything. It offsets the operating costs huh? Don't the big companies you mention pay you to find people? And then look at what I see here - the classic marketing scam, that being the name-dropping of Fortune 500 companies. And he still didn't guarantee anything. Of course I'm not going for this. But just look at how these people use friendly language and name-dropping to skirt the issue.
Don't be fooled people! Does this mean it's a scam? No. BUT it's not a good sign either!
