Avoiding actually working... So I guess I'll join in too. :-)

dave_orphal 1. If job were not an issue, where would you like to live?
Everywhere! No, seriously... I'd love to have homes in several locations. I'd love to have a house in Sydney Australia, a place in San Francisco, a home in Montana and/or Idaho, a sprawling estate in Florida, a flat in London. Okay, basically anywhere I've got friends.
2. If any sort of medieval club didn't exist, what would you do with your
free time?
Wow! That would free up so much of my time! I'd still probably be sooooo busy, though. Between starting a business with Shana, and all of the random art things I do. Even without the SCA, I'd still be swamped. I'm actually working on stepping back from the medieval club and doing more Costume Play, party planning, making stuff for my gift shop... I've been taking cake decorating classes, and that's been a blast.
3. What is the most important thing for the Obama administration to
accomplish during the next three years? What does success look like for
this issue?
Hmm... This is a toughy. I'm really not a political creature, and for the most part I actively avoid the subject. However, I'd really like to see the US keep our noses out of other countries business when we have no real good reason to be there. We have so many problems in our own country, it really seems lame that we try to "police" other countries.
There's a world-wide accountability that needs to be there, but perhaps it would be best if we solve our own problems before pointing our fingers at others.
4. In twenty years time, you are surrounded by the three most important
people in your life. Who are they and what are you doing?
Three? That makes it too hard. I don't want any of my friends to end up with hurt feelings, so I'm only going to give you one. Rockstar. And most likely, we'll be doing what we do almost any other night... either playing video games on our computers or watching a movie curled up on the couch with our fur-kids.
I have so many people that are so important to me in so many ways. I choose not to choose.
5. You get one hour with anyone living or dead. Who is it and what do you
two do?
My mom. And I'll tell her how much I miss her and catch her up on everything that's happened in the past 7 years.

mad_duchess 1. How did you meet your husband?
We met back when we were both working at a place called Computing Resources, Inc (before Intuit bought us out). Basically, I saw him and I knew from that moment that he was the man I was going to marry. Of course... from that point it took about 2 years for me to finagle him into asking me out. Once we started dating, he proposed in 5 weeks. :-D He was very quiet, and polite. And I just knew that if I asked him out, he would have run the other way. (Which I'd seen happen with some of the other women where we worked.) So, basically, I just kept integrating myself into groups where I knew he'd be... and eventually I snagged him!
2. Your concert-going posts crack me up. Who are your favourite bands to see live?
INXS is totally number 1. I've seen them 10 times. Second is most likely the English Beat. I've seen them 8 so far... I did really, really enjoy seeing Heart & Journey, though.
3. What do you do for a living?
I'm an Administrative Assistant. Basically, right now I'm an underpaid lackey... Job market sucks. I was an Office Manager in my last position. And before that I was a Software QA Engineer.
4. What is your dream vacation (I seem to be all about travel today)?
Mmmm... Around the world in 365 days!
Seriously, I love to travel. I've only ever been out of the country once, to Victoria BC. But I've been to every State in the US except for Hawaii. If I could only choose one country, though, probably England.
5. Pretend you have amnesia--looking around your house, how long would it take you to figure out you're involved in some sort of Medieval club?
Most likely not too long. Though probably the first thing I'd notice is that I have an unhealthy Harry Potter obsession. ;-) But between garb, and scrolls, & my vast library... It's pretty obvious that I participate in something Medieval.
