the summary:
i have a new job and my start date will be 3/24.
the detail:
basically i wanted more money and my current company wouldn't pay up. so i started looking around and got a decent offer that i accepted. my start date was supposed to be 3/10, but then i got a call from the company that howie works at asking me for an interview on 3/6. i went on the interview and they made me an offer the same day... it was even better money than the first offer and i really liked the people. so i called the first place and told them i wasn't coming and took the second job.
i honestly had no idea of the current demand for qualified network engineers... because as it turns out, my coworker was also looking at the same time as me, and he ended up getting two offers as well.
i'm quite excited about everything and am really looking forward to moving on from my current job.
