Lots of news to tell you about. In some sort of order, but not really:
My life is going well. Regardless if anything else in this post (or anything else going on in my life) I am pleased with where I am in life and what I’m doing.
I failed the qualifier. We ended up with about a 50% pass rate, so at least I’m in good company. I plan on studying about once a week starting this week or the next week and we’ll go from there. I’ll also have some time over Christmas break to prepare, but I should be in good shape by then.
Kirsten ended up finding a job, which is wonderful. However her job is in the Twin Cities, which is not as wonderful. I am happy for her however and plan on keeping in touch as much as possible.
Assuming I can pass the qualifier in January (which I am hopeful of) I think I’ll have a good shot at getting the job I’ve been hoping for. I won’t be able to tell you much more than that until the spring semester.
My birthday is coming up in something like a month to the day. That said there are a lot of really cool things in the way of anime and video games coming out right before that so I should be able to give out a pretty nice list with a large range of prices for people who want ideas.
As usual I plan on having a birthday party for myself here in Ames. I’m looking at the weekend after. Probably that Friday (September 30th). I will be extending an invitation to UB people as well as Ames people (and anyone else who reads this blog). E-mail me with questions and I’ll be sending out invitations before too long.
Well, there you go. That’s what’s going on down here in Ames. I need to look at some homework, make some phone calls, and play with my Vs cards some tonight so I’d best go. Oh yeah; food. I should probably get some of that.
By-the-by here is a wall paper of Heather from Silent Hill 3 that I made over the summer. Obviously since I have no ability to draw, the pictures aren't mine but how they are arranged (and the flashlight light) are my photoshop work.
