Home on the range? Not quite. But almost.

Well I've gone and done it now.  I've gotten the final bid to buy a house.  A bit over 3 acreas of land out in the country.  It's an old Classic style house with lots of personality.  Which probably means that there is tons of stuff needing fixed.  Oh well.  I can do a lotta that sorta stuff myself if I can get myself to buckle down and actually fix it.  This of course means I'm broke for the next 30 or so years if I don't happen to somehow come into a truckload of money to pay it off more quickly.  I've gotten an excellent deal on the house and a fairly decent percentage on my bank loan but it still feels like I've sold myself into financial slavery.  I'm feeling a bit numb right now but then I've always wanted to own a big house in the middle of the country. I've always lived in cities. Sometimes big cities, sometimes small towns but always a city of some sort.   I guess only time will tell if I made the right choice or not.

*gives a long sigh and looks deeply into a glass of Rum and Coke as if it holds some sort of mystical answers*

"Here's hopin I did."  *sips the drink*

PS.  It even has an old brick outside smokehouse.  How the heck do you use a brick smokehouse?
