Neil Gaiman is the bestest
I saw Nail Gaiman on Tuesday and I have decided that he is the Perfect Author. He was funny, lovely, gentlemanly, jolly, kind and above all, wonderful to the legion of fans camped out in Kinokuniya. The first thing the woman introducing him did was read out the rules:
No personal photos with Neil,
No personalised signatures,
No signing of any books other than M is for Magic.
The first thing Neil said was 'I WILL personalise books' and I wuved him.
And then at the end of his speaking time (which included a superb Q&A) he announced that he would stay for as long as it takes to sign everyone's books. And I loved him twice as much.
Neil, you are a superb human being and you read the way all audiobook narrators should.
