What is the absolute best thing a person could do for the world? A something that would benefit the whole - the trees, the air, the animals, the people, the water, the everything - the animus mundi.
I don't know, but if someone wanted to benefit me they could certainly give me a glass of water because I ate a bowl of popcorn and I think it has pickled my insides with salt.
I watched the second episode of 'Jericho' tonight. It is okay - not exactly grasping drama but interesting (if somewhat inaccurate) scenarios. Thinking of gamma rays made me think of the Homeward Bounders and the places they visited that were arid war zones.
On the book list is:
Medalon - first book of the Demon Child trilogy, it's pacey and interesting and I am enjoying it thus far. It is by Australian author Jennifer Fallon. Also on the burner (ie a book that is lying splayed face down due to me being part way through it) is Girls like You - by Paul Sheehan, about the Sydney gang rape trials a couple of years back - very disturbing and all true. It's fascinating but depressing.
AND SITTING ON THE BEDSIDE TABLE OF THE TALIAN: THE PINHOE EGG - IN A SHORT HARDBACK FORMAT as donated by the Office of this Nat to the Nat for being the Ultimate DWJ Fan. And yet I cannot bring myself to read it, because I have been waiting for it forever and a day - and it seems I must wait until a moment when I am absolutely free to just read it in peace without interruptions on any part. And my long weekend is already booked in:
Friday night - Opera house (I am v excited about this and wearing a beautiful red sari that used to belong to my mother - I will look HOT)
Saturday - Mother and I shall be sorting out the entire biblio section of the casa - ie. chucking (to 2nd hand book shops - never the bin!) all books that we no longer want - ie the crap ones such as Tom Clancy and I will also hopefully catch the GRAND FINAL - woooh!
Sunday - Parklife with mis amigas favoritas de Barceloca - Sangers and Lizzo - no doubt this will stretch into Sunday (big concerty fun with mucho dancing and offchoppyness - including the guy from NEW ORDER fantastico!)
Monday - recovery and poker and possibly even laundry. :D
N. Girl signing out
AND a million and one other things I want to do like writing proper letters and replying to emails and creating a beautiful parcel to send to a most highly flavoured ladee in Europe (highly flavoured was how we used to sing a hymn in primary catlick school instead of highly favoured).
