If anyone of you know and mourn the death of King Edward (rip), the day has come to replace him with a worthy successor. It has taken me close to two years to finally choose someone I felt would do the position justice.

As you may know, King Edward left an indelible legacy amongst his friends and followers, only to be dashed to bits by a dirty fucking crust punk who lives in a forest many days journey from his monarchy. King Edward was a benevolent ruler, making all those around him merry and prosperous. But in the end, it was his benevolent nature which caused his downfall.

So in selecting a new candidate for this position, I needed someone who not only provided harvest for his men, but would smite his enemies as well.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Odin:

Odin is an ambivalent deity. Odin left his eye in the purifying waters of Mimir's spring in order to gain the wisdom of the ages. Odin gives to worthy poets the mead of inspiration, made by the dwarves, from the vessel "Óð-rœrir"

Odin himself takes the dead to Valhalla. Odin then welcomes the great dead warriors who have died in battle into his hall, Valhalla. (which when literally interpretated, signifies the hall of the slain.) These fallen, the einherjar, are assembled and entertained by Odin in order that they in return might fight for and support the gods in the final battle of the end of the world, Ragnarök. It is my hope King Edward resides somewhere in Valhalla and is watching over everything we do.

He was also a god of war, appearing throughout Norse myth as the bringer of victory. In the Norse sagas, Odin sometimes acts as the instigator of wars, and is said to have been able to start wars by simply throwing down his spear, and/or sending his valkyries, to influence the battle toward the end that he desires. Valkyries were Odin's beautiful battle maidens that went out to the fields of war to select and collect the worthy men who died in battle to come and sit in Valhalla, feasting and battling until they had to fight in the final battle, Ragnarök.

Odin was also a shapechanger, able to alter his skin and form in any way he liked. He was said to travel the world as an old man with a staff, one-eyed, grey-bearded, and wearing a wide-brimmed hat, with a blue traveling coat. Odin is said to be a healer, hinting at shamanistic origins, as he is god of magic and prophecy, common practices in cultures in which shamans are prominent.

Odin should be arriving within the week. Anyone who wishes to give him a heroes welcome with me, hit me up.

ahhahahahahahahahahahha, sike. But for real, i'm naming it Odin.
