So we had another football game last night.
I'm not kidding when I say the average weight of the guys we played had to be about 220 lbs. packed onto 5'10" frames. Now I'm only 6'2" and 180 lbs. of devastating handsomeness, so you can imagine that they had a bit of a strength advantage on us. Nearly everybody on our team got floored at least once.
On the other hand, this is where my best attribute comes into play. I may not be the quickest, the strongest, and I sure as hell don't have the best hands, but I'll stack my physical endurance against anyone. So why everyone else was getting winded and battered, I was teflon. Sure, I got knocked down, but I was right back up the next play. Consequently, I had the best game of my season with a sack, several key stops on the goal line, and a 25 yard completion/run.
There's an odd kind of exhiliration that comes from taking the best shots somebody else has to give you, and still walking away just fine.
