Resurrection!!

Okay. So I missed like a TRILLION days.

It was because my poor laptop died, last Friday. It had been crashing at annoying times but .. then it just stopped turning on at all. I only got a blank screen and nothing else. Very depressing.

I went back to my family computer for the first time in nearly a year (except for when I printed stuff) and googled .. Found that the bitches at HP put faulty GPUs in laptops of my model - Pavilion dv9000. Actually the bitches were at nVidia, since some Dells had the problem too. Anyway, these GPUs overheated and eventually they burned into the motherboard. Which explained why everything was completely fucked.

So on Saturday I took laptop back to the shop I got it from. My dad wouldn't take me and my brother didn't want to, so I told mum to come with me and I'd get some driving practice. Busy roads are still scary.

The shop just said .. it's still on warranty, call HP. What a waste of time.

I called them up on Monday (since Saturday was Anzac Day, they were closed), they picked it up on Tuesday, and it came back today. I missed it so much. I'm sure at least one of the scratches it now has wasn't there when I sent it away... grrr HP. They also disappointed me because if they hadn't been able to fix it, I would have got a brand new laptop. I was hoping I would.. before sending it away, I contemplated damaging it just a little bit more to ensure that I did get a new one.

The only things I couldn't really do on family computer that I do on this one are ... watch the latest episodes of Gossip Girl, watch Stairway to Heaven which I've got off essenity, post to LJ and stalk people on Facebook. I didn't want to use Facebook since my dad does and then if he saw mine in the history or something, he might try to friend me O_O.

I've kind of caught up on those things now. I watched a few minutes of GG and one episode of Stairway to Heaven .. now my eyes hurt, I think because they were no longer used to focussing on the laptop screen. It felt like this when I first got it too.

In the laptop-less meantime, I've ... not done very much on my assignments, but at least I have done two tests (they were okay) and for all 5 weekdays this week, I saw essenity. I think it's quite an achievement, given that we don't even go to the same uni.

Oh and lastly, I skipped a lecture today because my mum wanted me to go to her farewell party thing at her work. She resigned. She hadn't really been working for about a year anyway though.. I didn't know any of the people, but I just went because I didn't want mum to be annoyeed with me. Hopefully she'll be nice this weekend and I can get her to go with me to get contacts. And I need a "lounge suit", for going to see the Governor General. And I need to cut my hair... I'm still scared of hairdressers.
