much needed update
so about a month after my last entry my life changed for the better, and apparently that somehow caused me to stop writing in my journal...lol I met Meagan. We've been together for abouuuuuuut.... a year and two months now, and we're living down in Mount Pleasant, SC. So yeah, that might be a blow to balls if you haven't been in touch with me lately... I moved to SC in June '06!! Fucking love it down here... I have a kick ass apartment about 7 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes (an appropriate distance) from one of the most popular tourist cities in the nation-Charleston, SC. I live about 2 hours south of Myrtle Beach, but quite frankly I could give a shit less. lol-I was there and it was nice, but I wasn't as impressed as most people seem to be-I like my little beach town down here. MIGHT I ADD.... it's number 70 on MONEY magazines top 100 places to live! fuckin right. I love it though. I miss my friends A LOT!! But the area is unbeatable. It would be great to have both, but I really don't think I'll have an easy time getting everyone moved across the country.. It's getting better though! friend-wise that is.. 2 nights ago my buddy jamie from work and his girlfriend came over, hung out for a bit, and then we went to see borat. Then last night a hostess from Bubba Gumps (a restaurant OBVIOUSLY based off the forrest gump movie..) that I bullshit with when I work at that location in town needed a ride home. she's right in town, so I volunteered. Then her and one of the cooks ended up going out for drinks and invited me, so I was like-shit, alright. lol It was a good time though-a bunch of random people I had no idea who they were came and hung out. the cook, henry, is the fuckin man. lol-he's from peru, and didn't speak much of ANY english when he moved over here.. he still has a thick accent but you can understand every word. he had like frisbee sized wounds from paintball, he apparently quit being a cook at Gumps like 4 times, and every time they bring him back with a raise.. he bought like 3 rounds of shots for everyone there... lol-it was definitely a good time. but yeah, I'm hanging out more. Meagan's having a harder time adjusting cause she left all her family back home, but I'm helping her through it. I'm not holding her back at all, she wont leave (not like I want her to! but it's her choice, I don't want her to be miserable except for me). But we're doing great. she loves her job-she works at a vet clinic-actually the first one in the city, they've been around since like 1950.. she just got promoted and they love her. our apartment kicks ass-it's really nice.
