stupid new apartment
i woke up this morning to find my tub drain hadn't drained from my shower *yesterday* morning. for some people, coffee in the morning is what gets you going. for me, it's a shower. gotta have my shower. yes, i realized it was draining slow while i was in the shower, but that's how it's been since i moved in here: slow. what with having the kids here with me this past weekend, i kinda got distracted.
so, i trudge off to the corner hardware store (yay for my new place being in a neighborhood with such things) and buy a bottle ($11.70! bloody hell!!) of drain opener. at the time of writing this rant the stuff has been in the drain for 10 min. the bottle says it should only take 10-15. then i have to flush the drain for at least 5 min with cold water.
oh, did i mention i have to be at work today?
