A five minute collective rhapsody of the year

First of all, I'm sad because school starts again monday. That's depressing because school is overrated.

[A literary recreation of new years] 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. w00t! Poppers are popped, fireworks go off, countless people give each other the new years kiss, people party, and smiles are seen. Congrats. Whip out the champagne, put the past behind us, and now we're ready for a new year, whether we're actually ready or not. Unfortunately Time has it's own agenda and we're unfortunately bound to it. We'll be pumped for around a week until people realize that there isn't much different from 11:59pm, December 31st, 2004 and 12:00am, January 1st, 2005. I know one thing is for sure, there'll be countless times where I'll accidentally write 2004 instead of 2005. But that's okay because I have a year to get used to it until I'll have to reteach myself again.

What will I remember? For the first time I actually realized that there is no such thing as good or bad. It goes down a lot deeper than that. There is no such thing as the perfect person. Your poison may be another persons sexual ecstasy; what you find attractive may not be what another person finds to be attractive. When you meet someone and get to know them, it'll be up to you on whether you will accept someone for who they are or not. And then you can hope that they accept you regardless of your shortcomings.

What do I regret? Not much. There are some things I'd like to change but they're out of my reach; I can't change it but I can accept it. There are the small regrets about not saying the right thing or not choosing the right thing but in the end of the day, it doesn't really matter too much.

This entry started off as a reason for me to express the sorrow I felt because I couldn't use my snowboard when I got it. Funny how that sort of took a step back while I rambled on about things that probably wouldn't make sense to other people. Unfortunately I have a knack for not making the greatest sense. But hey, while I'm on the subject. I want to go snowboarding this saturday.
