So many many things....
Lots have been going on, in fact I feel bad I haven't updated sooner, I've just been busy. I think for a while I will be fairly busy. I'll try to sum it up the best I can. Lets try at the beginning...
It feels like forever ago, or maybe it was this morning. It's hard to tell because I've come to realize for the most part of the day. Nikki goes to work around 8 in the morning and won't return until 8 at night due to her internship. If I'm working, I really can't talk to anyone. actually my social life and contact with the outside world is in the shitter. Even when Nikki is home she generally does her own thing. There are some nights where we hardly even speak. Normally I'd suggest we were drifting apart, but the fact is we have a lot going on. That said I've been jumping for a chance of social interaction, especially with Nikki, I just rarely have the time.
A week or so ago I went with Nikki to a little town not that far from Peoria because our friend Barb's family moved down there and every year they had a bonfire. They did it this year so we decided to go. My "official" reason was because Barb was having a rough time of things going on around her and needed some support and familiar friendly faces. unofficially I love going to places I've never been and see what's there. We had a blast! the whole weekend was great. I had a chance to really relax, I got a chance to experience something different, and most importantly I had a lot of fun.
I got hired to do night security for old orchard mall. The shift is from 4 to 12, though I'm not sure how many nights out of the week. seeing as I go to school Monday and Wednesday night I don't see myself getting many days (nights) off. Jewel has me mornings now (roughly 7 -3) so as you can already make out, I have no time for anything. The job isn't going to be tough, it's a north suburban mall. There's not much to do, but walk around. We aren't even suppose to confront anyone, we just walk around and make the area seem safe while offering services like jumping your car or pic your car lock if you've locked your keys in your car by accident. It sounds fairly boring, but great for an extra 20 to 30 hours a week. I have to get my fingerprints taken and go through a deep background check by the government before my employment is official, but I should have no problems. I guess they don't want to hire an ex con, murderer, or the criminally insane by accident...
Seen Paranormal Activity with Barb and Mike. The movie itself was not scary at all Barb didn't even flinch through most of the "bad" parts so maybe even Nikki could watch it, I thought the story was fairly good, though a lot the male's script was really poorly written. He just said a lot of things that didn't make any sense or just seemed non realistic to the situation that keep disconnecting me from the reality of the story. Late in the story when they know something is there and it's generally is getting worse he basically comes out with "your my girl and no one fucks with my girl we aren't calling no demonology, I can do this myself" which is in a very dramatic point of the story. It was so stupid and awkward the entire audience laughed. the girl did a pretty decent job though which sold it. If shes was as bad as the guy the whole movie would have fallen apart. Story wise it's good, effects are good, the acting is decent. I felt the best part of the movie was the last minute of the movie, it really brought everything together. The movie is suppose to have three endings, (It's original shown once, the ending at the limited release, and the theatrical which is what you'll see if you go see it now) They will likely make a sequel like they did for blair witch and I'm fairly sure it will bomb. The thing with movies like these is they are a one time deal.
