The iPod has arrived! And it looks BRAND NEW. I'm serious, there's like, a few scratches and smudges on the metallic back of the thing. Big deal!
I'm also pleased to announce the the auction info was incorrect. It was stated the iPod would come with a Firewire cable. I knew I'd have to go out and get a USB cable for it since I lack Firewire... or would I?? The iPod came, shipped with a USB cable after all!!
But how does it sound? So far, it sounds like a dream. The unit came equipped with two popular Police songs. I tested the mother out, with the included earbuds, and the audio was crystal clear.
So I've now joined the ranks of iPod fags out there, and I'm already excited about it. Now I'll be looking online for some software that would enable me to transfer photos to it directly from my camera. Hey, if they can port Doom to iPod, they can make that possible, as well.
My only complaint: I paid $20 for shipping, and was promised the best, most state-of-the-art packing process imaginable. What I got was a small box stuffed with foam peanuts and everything wrapped in bubble wrap. And then it was sent via UPS Ground. This is trivial to me, as even with the inflated shipping, I got this thing for a great price. Just a warning to anybody buying refurbished electronics off of eBay, if you see any auctions by the Ivex company, understand you're going to be VERY dicked on shipping. Only bid with them if you know you're getting a good deal.
