Hah! I knew you were a guy, and I sorta know how you feel right now.

[The smile fades from his face, his voice sounding somewhat distant now.]

Actually... I knew someone who had the same problem, when I was a kid.

Yeah. We grew up together, his name is Teepo. It's been years since I saw him, though...

Well... Our house burned down. We got mixed up with some crooks, and they didn't want us to live.

You don't have to apologize, Aaron. [He let out a quiet sigh, Teepo is a rough subject for him.] You didn't know.

The men who did it, though, and their boss... They're all dead, by my sword. Balio and Sunder tried to kill us when I was still a kid, even after we won our freedom. Rei thought I was dead, and kept attacking the rest of that group until we met their boss, Mikba. That's when we were reunited.

...I'll never let someone split my family apart like that ever again. Not even God himself.

Sometimes there's no reasoning with people, besides force. I don't really like resorting to it, though.
