Coloring Manga without those pesky textures and all those complicated adjustment layers.

Skill-builder tutorial for the beginner in manga coloring.
Photoshop 7, Translatable.
Should at least be knowlegeable in changing Layer Type/Blend and selecting colors.

Interesting. YOu mean you don't start of with exclusions? When do you add exclusion layers? *curious*

I usually color stuff, merge, duplicate that and set the second base layer on softlight, add an exclusion layer between those two and then add some selective coloring layers on top.

I see! I'm paranoid when it comes to coloring since I tend to change my mind a lot so I only merge when I finish it all. ^_^"" Not merging is a kind of insurance for me XDDDDD Thanks for the info! :D ♥

I was so impressed by the coloring that you did for the HnG icons you posted in October that I back-browsed. Thank you so much for putting up this tutorial. I love it when artists/authors share their creative process and techniques. *^.^*
