Take a picture of yourself right now.
Don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair--just take a picture.
Post that picture with NO editing.
Post these instructions with your picture.

I believe the spectacles add a certain charm )

I find that bit about "don't change your clothes" to be well ironic.

And why is that, precisely?

Are you seriously asking me that, Mr 'I've worn the same jumper for over a decade'?

That's not at all accurate, Ace. It's the same jumper design, but certainly not the same jumper, all these years. I grant you that it would be difficult to detect such a distinction, however.

And here I thought that the TARDIS was just really good at getting scorch marks and slime stains out of the fabric.

So what, you have a whole closet full of the same outfit?

While the TARDIS is efficient at cleaning clothing, I believe we mutually decided multiple regenerations ago that it was more practical to have extra outfits available, particularly with my occasional penchant for messy situations.

Yes, I do, actually.

Occasional penchant for messy situations? You must have a different definition for occasional then we do in England.

I take it you would disagree then, Ace?

With the fact that you're claiming that you only "occasionally" get into massive amounts of wardrobe ruining trouble? Of course I am. It's a toss up, sometimes, as to who gets themselves into more messy situations - you or Hex.

Obviously Hex is far more prone to messy situations, and significantly less capable of getting out of them than I.

I'll agree that he's not as clever as you are at getting himself out of trouble, but he doesn't brazenly walk up to people who want to hurt him and tip his hat either.

There have been times when such actions have worked in my favour, Ace. It certainly startles my enemies significantly, which often gives me the advantage.

Your enemies aren't the only one it startles. Even after all this time...

It startles you as well? I always have everything under control, Ace, there's really nothing to be startled about.

Oh, you'll always have the capacity to startle me, Professor. Especially when you do things like stand up on a table and announce your intention to get married or things like that.

Yes, I suppose that was quite surprising, even to myself. It worked out very well in the end, though, I must say, as all things eventually do.
