There's a nerve located between your eyebrow and eye socket. It's very sensitive to pressure but should you compress that nerve, the pain will release endorphins; it may curb your head.

It's a survival tactic we were trained in. Knowing how to rid oneself of ailments, be it a headache or otherwise, is key.
