Summary: The elder Elric meets a master mechanic and discovers the skill of the master maker.
Edward always knew he wasn’t the only one with auto-mail. In his travels, he had met others with artificial limbs. However, he had never met one that looked so real, so flesh like. He had also never met someone whose auto-mail hand felt like actual skin. Nor had he ever seen one that could…change its form. Edward was curious how the dark haired man had done it. The dark haired man hadn’t explained how he had done it. All Ed knew was how real the hand had felt brushing against his own real arm. Ed hadn’t been able to stop the hand on its journey. The gentle brushes had turned into caresses, and the caresses had transformed into something else.
Now Edward lay in bed, next to a dark haired man whose auto-mail hand looked too human to be believed. Ed stared at his own arm. He felt rather than saw the dark eyes upon him.
“I can upgrade that you know,” the dark haired man said.
“Really?” Ed half asked. He was more questioning himself. Had this actually all happened?
“Easily.”
“Who are you?”
“I am the Maker, or if you prefer, you may call me Forge.”
